Vikram Vaswani is a developer advocate, open source consultant, and technical author with over two decades of experience. He is the founder of Melonfire, a consultancy specializing in developer-focused content strategy, documentation operations, and community engagement.

Vikram has deep hands-on experience across agentic AI infrastructure, cloud-native platforms, DevOps automation, and containerization. He specializes in growing developer communities, translating user feedback into product insights, and strengthening technical positioning in both open and commercial software ecosystems. He has worked with a wide range of companies including Bitnami, Dagger, VMware, IBM, Rev AI, and Magnolia.

Vikram is the author of seven books on software and database programming, published by The McGraw-Hill Companies and Pearson Education. His work has been translated into more than ten languages. He has written 550+ technical tutorials for publications including Zend Developer Zone, IBM developerWorks, and Developer.com. He is an expert in producing high-impact technical content, and in designing documentation systems and processes for globally distributed teams.

An active participant in the open source software community, Vikram is an inaugural Ambassador for the Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF), a Linux Foundation project whose founding members include AWS, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI. He is a seven-time IBM Cloud Champion and a frequent speaker at international conferences including AI_Dev Europe, FOSSASIA, PyCon Thailand, and MCP Dev Summit.

Vikram holds an MBA from the University of Oxford, as well as university degrees in Economics and Statistics. He is a recipient of the prestigious University of Oxford Felix Scholarship.
