Vikram Vaswani is a developer advocate, open source consultant, and technical author with over two decades of experience. He is the founder of Melonfire, a consultancy firm specializing in developer-focused content strategy, documentation operations, and community engagement.
Vikram has deep experience in developer relations, product marketing, and community leadership. He specializes in growing developer communities, translating user feedback into product insights, and strengthening technical positioning in both open and commercial software ecosystems.
Vikram is the author of seven books on software and database programming, published by The McGraw-Hill Companies and Pearson Education. His work has been translated into more than ten languages. He is an expert in producing high-impact technical content, and in designing documentation systems and processes for globally distributed teams.
An active participant in the open source software community, Vikram has written more than 550 technical tutorials for publications such as Zend Developer Zone, IBM developerWorks, and Developer.com. He is a former IBM Champion and a speaker at international conferences in India, Europe, Asia, and the United States.
Vikram holds an MBA from the University of Oxford, as well as university degrees in Economics and Statistics. He has also been a recipient of the prestigious University of Oxford Felix Scholarship.
