Vikram Vaswani is a developer advocate, open source consultant, and technical author with over two decades of experience. He is the founder of Melonfire, a consultancy firm in Mumbai, India specializing in developer-focused content strategy, documentation operations, and community engagement.

Vikram is the author of seven books on software and database programming, published by The McGraw-Hill Companies and Pearson Education and translated into more than ten languages. He has deep experience in creating a wide range of technical content, and in building scalable docs-as-code systems for globally distributed teams.

In addition to his technical expertise, Vikram is skilled in developer relations, product marketing, and community management. He has experience growing open source communities, translating user feedback into product insights, and supporting thought leadership positioning.

Vikram holds an MBA from the University of Oxford, as well as university degrees in Economics and Statistics. He has also been a recipient of the prestigious University of Oxford Felix Scholarship.

An active participant in the open source software community, Vikram has written more than 550 technical tutorials for publications such as Zend Developer Zone, IBM developerWorks, and Developer.com. He is a former IBM Champion and a speaker at international conferences in India, Europe, Asia, and the United States.
